do yourself a favour

Last week I went to see the movie "Soul Surfer," about surfer Bethany Hamilton who had her arm bitten off by a shark while surfing. This movie is the most inspirational film I have ever seen made even more incredible by the fact that it is based on a true story!
As a surfer myself, I have long had an interest in Bethany's story and her subsiquent triumphs over her tragedy. But this movie is about more than surfing (although the wave shots are too gorgeous to miss), its a story about courage and determination.
And the footage of the real Bethany during the credits just makes it sink in even more how amazing this young woman really is.

Do yourself a favour go and see Soul Surfer! X

Lookbook.nu

For  a long time now I have been a massive follower of  lookbook.nu everyday on my computer (and now even more conveniently on my iphone) I check the latest looks from fashion lovers accross the globe. I have long been using this amazing social networking site for style inspiration in my own life.
Finally after nearly three years of viewing from the outside I have decided to participate in the Lookbook community! See below my first two looks posted, which are back dated from my trip to Cambodia.
But keep an eye out on Lookbook for new posts coming in the future! X

family and friends

What did you get up to on the weekend?
I took a trip back home to Adelaide for my little brothers 21st birthday bash. It was a fleeting visit, 40 hours in total. But it was great to get home and see family and friends even for a short while.
My bro's birthday was a French garden tea party and was a huge success, everything was beautiful and I will post some pictures soon!
The rest of the weekend was spent lunching, shopping and catching up with old friends.
The best way to sum up my trip is with the photos below X

my beautiful new bag

I am very lucky to have some extremely talented friends!
One of these such talents is gorgeous Effigy 49 designer Jade Dockary. Jade has recently created her own accessories label away from Effigy, by the name of Raconteur by Jade Dockary.
I received one of her amazingly beautiful Native American inspired bags (the "wichita" bag) this week and it was love at first sight!
See the images below and decide for yourself (the bags retail for $320.00 and are made from the softest lamb skin leather) - the link to the Raconteur website is below, jump on to see all her bags, boots and hats... but make sure your credit card has free space before you do!

The burnt wooden swingtag that comes with every piece.

My incredible hand made charm attachment with a beautiful peacock feather, each charm is a individually hand made one off, just gorgeous.

welcome to my world

I thought I would start this blog off with a few of my favourite images of late... Just to get an idea of my style and the things that inspire me.

The thing I love about all these images is that they offer fashion mixed with culture and a sence of freedom! LOVE X
